Monestary on a Hill

This is one of my own visualisations, originally done for a Class on site ….. ok now as you see in front of you there is a fairly big hill covered with forest and we can see the start of the path leading up the hill so we are all going to take it very gently and walk up the path which leads all around the hill to the top ... as we walk we are aware of the smells of the forest - a beautiful pine fragrance fills the air from the fresh pine needles as they are crushed beneath our feet as we stroll along, the sun glitters through the boughs of the trees and a gentle breeze helps to keep us cool as we walk... ... somewhere in the distance we can hear water but we are not sure where it comes from and butterflies literally swarm all around us, dancing all over us - some land and we cannot count the different varieties - there are so many and everyone is laughing cause when they land they tickle our bare arms... ... we are now about half way up the hill and we come to a small stopping place ... there is just a small area of grass but enough to give us a rest and allow us to have a drink as we get our breath before continuing on up the hill ... ... as we round the top of the hill we see in front of us a beautiful monestary there on top of the hill ... the walls are made of marble which glitters in the sun and right ahead of us are big double doors leading into the monestary gardens ... as we enter we can hear the sound of all the monks signing ... the sound is so beautiful, emotional but also instilling a sense of peace in each of us... ... we all walk through the garden and we realise that here they breed butterflies which is why the hill is so completely covered in them ... we walk to the main door of the monestary and enter a long hallway ... its cooler in here and flanked along the hallway are a series of doors on either side and each one of us chooses which door we are going to go through... ... when we go through the door we find ourselves in a beautiful chapel and there waiting for us is a spiritual advisor ... the spiritual advisor is different for each one of us - it could be a monk, a nun, the dali lama, a priest or even just a wise friend - they hold their hands out to us and we walk towards them, they take our hands in theirs and lead us to a small seat where we sit down and chat for a while.... ... eventually it is time to leave and go back down the hill ... everyone says goodbye to their advisor and thanks them for the advice - give them a hug and leave your chapel and we will all meet in the hallway outside... ... when everyone is ready to leave we all go back out into the monestary gardens and take a few deep breaths to reorientate ourselves ... and start our gentle stroll back down the hill ... we notice that the sun is beginning to set on the horizon - we can see a big golden ball of light gently sliding down behind another hill... ... everyone take someones hand as we walk down the hill and we are all strangely silent as we think about what we have been told but feel close to each other and connected .... as we pass the place where we stopped on the way up by silent agreement we just continue walking instead of stopping and we notice that all the butterflies are settling down as dusk approaches ... we notice that the smell of the pine needles doesnt seem quite so strong now and that the world is readying for sleep.... .... we come to the bottom of the hill and the end of the path and everyone turns to take a final look at the hill remembering what happened at the top and promising ourselves secretly to come back alone but for now we bring our awareness back to the present....

Students of the Tarot Certification course often have practice sessions and have to read for their exams in the chat rooms- come along and grab a reading from our students.
