Hi everyone,
i was wondering if anyone can tell me the answer to this question.
I know of a lady who has been for several private sittings with several mediums, the ladie's son has passed over to spirit and before each sitting she asked him to give specific information known only to the two of them.

So far this lady has not recieved the answers to her questions, and has said she feels like giving up believing in the afterlife, which is really sad for them both.

If spirit people are able to tell us all about themselves and how they passed why cant they give this simple information which would be reall proof for the grieving lady?
does anyone have a rational answer to this question, i must say it has rattled my case a little.

I know that spirit don't always respond to this type of scenario. The guidance is to leave all of your expectations at the door before having a sitting with a medium. The reason for this is because if you are so intent on receiving a certain piece of information, then you may block a sensitives or spirits best efforts to get through. Also, sometimes a medium may not have the courage to talk about all of the impressions they receive. If I may give an example:
A good medium friend of mine was reading for a couple who had lost their Son, some months earlier, they were desperate to believe that their Son lived on in some spiritual capacity, but were not certain that they believed. The spirit of their Son soon made an appearance and gave some wonderful survival evidence, but still they were searching for something more specific. My medium friend informed me that the spirit kept telling him to say that they used to call him a lazy b@£*@"d. My medium friend thought, I can't say that to them! What happens if I'm wrong etc. It would cause loads of offence. Anyway, eventually, after the spirit kept bugging him throughout the reading, he finally plucked up the courage to impart this somewhat bizarre info, (apologising profusely in advance)and the couple burst into hysterics, claiming that he couldn't have given better evidence. It was the one piece of information that made them believe without any shadow of doubt that they were in touch with their Son.

I do believe that your friend will find her survival evidence, but it might not come in the way she thought.
I hope she doesn't despair and finds comfort in her grief.

I have had experience of this after my hubby passed over,I wanted him to give me info of special events in our lives. But I have learned to be patient and 18 months after his death,I am receiving those little 'bits and pieces' I so wanted to hear. The main thing is,he always sends his love so strongly and that is what is important to me.

Sorry to hear that your friend has not had the proof that there looking for.
It is important to realise when spirit communicate with us it's not a conversation in the sense of how we would speak,but a blending of energy so therefore they don't tell us things as such.Many times i have given that one things only the sitter and the spirit knew, but it doesn't happen all the time.What Danny said about leaving your expectations at the door is important.Somtimes the person you expect to come through doesn't, but it can be a person you know, that has an empathy with whats going on around you.Your friend needs to know that as mediums we want the messages that we give, to be that one thing that will make you know your loved ones are around everytime. unfortunatly this doesn't always happen.The medium might be having an off day somtimes if someone is just focused on recieving that one final bit of proof they might miss other things i'm not saying thats your friend but it does happen.mediumship is not perfect it can be mind blowing when it works well but it doesn't always.understanding how it works is very important,

I can understand that. My husband passed a couple of months before our 25th wedding anniversary. When he was alive he always talked about how we were going to celebrate it. He struggled to live until that date but unfortunately passed over just before.
The point I'm getting at,is in all the messages I have been given from him,not one of them mentioned our anniversary.
Until...............! One month ago! Nearly 18 months after the event I was given the message of an anniversary. So,you see,it is worth waiting,I think when you least expect it,the info you are hoping to get will arrive.

Hi and a sincere thank you to all of those kind people who tried to answer my question, why spirit wont tell us the answer.
i understand all that has been said and totaly agree.

this poor lady was unable to accept what i was telling her when i said that, the medium had given her much more proof than most are lucky to recieve in one sitting, the medium was able to give the lady a very true discription of where her son died also how he died and a very good description of her son's mannerism's, description height, personality,and was even able to say thank you for the gift that the lady gave her son when he passed.and also provided family names linking to them both.

However this boy passed over due to very strange circumstances and the lady was convinced others were responsibile for her sons death and were goading her, although nothing could be done to prove this,
therefore the lady was convinced that her son would be able to tell her if she was right in her understanding of the involvment of those she suspected,
and if he truly was still around he would have told her the answer
I guese her pain is just so bad she is unwilling to believe that she will one day find out the truth from her son,perhaps with another medium, that is not to say this medium did not achieve a high standard of mediumship, but also that maybe her son just was'nt able to give the information because it was not the time for her to hear the truth, i just pray and know that one day she will recive the answer to her question she just has to wait till the time and conditions are right.
so once again thank you to all those wonderful people who took the time to answer my question.

I was told something pertaining to my husband's death which surprised me but which I guessed was the truth so be patient,sweetie and you will get your answer.

Hi I wanted to say that through experience of being a medium myself... I have found that spirit will only give us what they can and only what they feel we can handle at the time..

We always get any confirmation we need... depends on the person I feel more than spirit as I feel if the person is already open to spirit they then will as I say receive what is needed at the time... love and blessings,
