I gained interest in this realm from recently viewing the first season of "The Medium" with Patricia Arquette, a TV show of which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I had an experience once with a spirit, but nothing before or after so although I am a fully aware of the reality of it, I am not a medium or psychic (but am interested in developing my natural abilities that I read we all have). This may be a really silly question or thought, but I'm going to go ahead and ask it. So from watching the show, I became concerned-for a moment, about privacy. I worried that my next door neighbor who was like a grandpa to me and just passed away this year might be hanging about and might see me naked when I changed or see me do all the other private things we humans do. Does anybody know about the privacy aspect of spirits hanging around the living?

Can only say from what I've heard,they do not infringe on our privacy.

Your question isn't stupid, it's perfectly valid in fact.

I'm going to keep this answer very general because it is of a delicate nature. When we think of spirit guides and our dear 'departed' loved ones on the other side of life, they only have our best interests at heart and view things from a higher perspective, than we do here on the earth plane - think of a child who wishes to use the toilet - we as parents don't bat an eye lid to take our Son or Daughter to use a bathroom. It's similar to this with our spirit guides, they have no interest in these more delicate, private matters that we do. They will have not the slightest interest of drawing near to us in our more intimate moments.

I would like to say that this is true of all entities, but being honest this isn't always the case, certain astral beings will use our more intimate acts as a way of stealing our energy, because of all the energy this produces. They are known as 'psychic vampires'.

I don't wish to discourage you from development or scare you - once you start development, there are simple visual blocks that you can put in place that will prevent this unwelcome intrusion. I was tempted to give you a really safe answer and tell you this type of activity never happens, but sadly, I wouldn't then be honest with you.

In conclusion though, if I may say, I've been on a path of mediumship for over five years now and this sort of negativity is generally not something I have to deal with; a daily routine of protection, energy clearing and cord cutting is ideal to preventing this.
