This is one of my own visualisations, originally done for a Class on site

…..we see we are in a walled garden, a traditional english one with roses climbing all over the walls - red, white, pink and yellow roses, all tumbling into each other. As we follow the path round the building we see that there is a gate in the wall and the roses barely make room for us to go through the gate ... the scent is simply heavenly as we all pass through....

... if you follow the path in front of you now, down to the river you will see a canal boat in front of you and two gentlemen to help you aboard....

... as the engines start on the canal boat, we all drift towards seats or places by the window and as we draw away from our moorings we feel all the tensions of the day slip away - we are leaving behind all our problems ...

... there are snacks and drinks for you to help yourselves and as we look out of the windows it is difficult to beleive that we are in the middle of a city, the canals are so quiet and beautiful ... we chatter away wondering where we are going, helping ourselves to snacks and finally truly relaxing in each others company...

... we notice the canal boat turn off the main line onto a seldom used branch and excitement rises - everyone runs to the windows to see what is happening - this branch of the canal seems to be unbelievably quiet - just the odd bird twittering, wild flowers all over the bank, weeping willows drooping lazily into the canal - the scenery is just incredibly beautiful and incredibly relaxing ...

... we notice the lights all come on in the boat as it starts to go through the tunnel and we all move to the front of the boat to see what is happening - we can see the exit but it is some way off and all we can see is the light at the end of the tunnel. We notice a walkway runs all the way through the tunnel so that if anyone wanted to they could walk along instead. We edge nearer and nearer to the light and just as we reach the exit to the tunnel the canal boat pulls over to the side to allow us to disembark as the rest of our journey is on foot...

... ok now we all exit the tunnel and follow the path along the side of the canal and as we round the bend on the path we come to a huge basin in the canal ... the banks are teeming with wild flowers, there are birds singing their hearts out and butterflies winging from flower to flower ... beside the basin is a clear space of grass where we all sit for a moment awed by the beauty of the scenery and without even being told to we form a circle and join hands...

... to the music of the birds singing and the sound of the water we close our eyes being still in the moment ... after a while we feel the prescense of someone behind each of us and one by one we open our eyes to see who it is ... they reach out their hands to us and help us up and take us off to various quiet places around the basin where we sit and chat ... this could be someone in spirit, a guide, a friend, or someone in the physical and everyone takes a few minutes to chat with their visitor....

... but eventually it is time to leave and say goodbye to our visitors ... we give them a hug and a kiss on the cheek and wave goodbye ... and make our way back to the canal boat and climb aboard and find somewhere comfortable to sit for the return journey ... we hear the engines on the canal boat start up agian and to our suprise it goes out into the basin and goes all the way round the basin giving us one last chance to wave goodbye to our visitors before entering the tunnel again...

... everyone is quiet thinking of what has taken place whilst we chug gently through the tunnel. But as we emerge through the other end we see that everyone is smiling and we start to chat quietly to each other ... we are a little sad as the canal boat pulls out of the branch onto the main line but we are all glad we went and experienced the journey and we know we can return here again anytime we wish...

... as we slowly tug along we see that we are nearly home so we gather up our things quietly and tidy up the cups and plates and as the canal boat pulls up we all disembark helped by the two gentlemen and slowly wander up the path to our garden gate and we all wander slowly into the garden where we bring our attention back to the present moment ....
