Originally in 1999 this site began as a listing of spiritualist churches around the world.  In the previous year I had discovered ....

.... that I was a medium – I’d always known I was psychic and could see ‘dead’ people but I never knew what the label for seeing dead people was.   Ahha – enlightenment !  I’m a medium.  But I didn’t know what to do with it, if anything at all.  I discovered that ‘mediums’ were spiritualists and attended spiritualist churches, so I set out to find one.  In my area that was more difficult than I assumed and so I decided to set up my own online listing of spiritualist churches all around the world.

So, now I had to learn what to do with this gift of Mediumship. I attended churches and online classes but no one could answer all my questions.  What was worse is that I was put down for associating being psychic with being a medium.  I was the lowest of the low for reading and teaching the tarot.  Apparently, being a medium was a far superior ‘state’ to be in than being a mere psychic or tarot reader.  Also, my experience of Mediumship didn’t quite fit with what I was being taught.  I was doing it wrong, I didn’t fit into my teachers’ strict idea of what a medium was.  This just didn’t sit right with me – and so I decided I needed to find out from other mediums around the world what their experiences were and how they related to my experiences.  The site now included the ‘Worldwide Mediums Survey’ the results of which you can find here.  One day I will find the time to repeat this survey.

Eventually, the site morphed into being a place for Mediumship classes and discussions but unlike other sites around the internet I refused to have the strict rules for development that I had been forced into.  As far as I am concerned, every one is an individual and every individual develops their gifts, whatever they are, in their own way and forcing rules on that development not only stifles it but in some cases kills it completely.  The chat rooms have opened and closed several times due to family commitments and illness and I hope to have them up and running again in the very near future.  Currently, a website development team is bringing all the small sections of this site into one cohesive site that is easy to navigate.

So – this site is about Mediumship and spiritualism – well yes, but that’s not all it’s about.  In 1988 I developed a tarot course which I taught in colleges and to individuals and finally a couple of years ago I transformed it into an online course which is suitable for both beginners and the more advanced tarot student. 

I’m also interested in astrology (it was in fact my first love) and do astrological charts and readings, so there is a small amount of information in the astrology section. One day I hope to develop an online course to teach students how to draw up astrological charts and interpret them.

I’m also interested in wicca, spellcraft and candle magic – primarily my interest is in herbal lore and living responsibly on this earth, but who isn’t interested in magic and spells?  Some people would throw their hands up in horror at the thought, but if you see a spell as a concentration of the mind whilst going through a little ceremony - something similar to ‘cosmic ordering’ to help you or those close to you then I see no harm.  ‘An it harm none – do what ye will’. 

I have many other interests that I hope to incorporate into the site at some time in the future and I hope you will join me and the other members in discussions on the forums and in the chat rooms.  If you have any ideas for the site – subjects not currently catered for, or ideas for improvement, I’d be glad to hear from you.
